Blue as Mars

(original title: Bleue comme mars)

A docu-fiction about the planet Mars.

"Today, I am the only operational person at the Memory Center, the Martian Center for terrestrial and extraterrestrial archives on space exploration and colonization. I am mainly content with maintenance and backup missions... But that was before the transfer.”

In a possible but fictional plot, Bleue comme Mars considers the daily life of Val, a morose although rebellious archivist, at the moment when her world turns upside down. Through the very real testimonies of great French specialists on the red planet, this documentary-fiction retraces sixty years of a rich and fruitful scientific adventure, from the sending of the first American probes to the recent results from the Curiosity robot. Absolute fantasy or possible future?
